Hydrant Hysteria – Battle Creek wins in Lansing!

City of Battle Creek, Mich. water team Reuben West and Mark Olmstead took the American Water Works Association Michigan Section by storm on Feb. 8, 2017. They are the Hydrant Hysteria state champions, with a time of 1:44.06.
They had to properly build a fire hydrant — with dozens of parts — faster than the other teams.
This team took 7th place out of 17 teams at the national conference and Hydrant Hysteria competition in June 2017. Their time was 1:42, faster than their winning state time, but not enough to beat the winning team from Bloomington, Minn.
Congratulations, Water team!
